Job summary

Medica Health Management - Southlake, TX is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain strong internal controls.

The role partners with leadership on budgeting, month‑end and year‑end closes, and regulatory compliance, requiring a 4‑year degree, 5+ years of accounting experience, and supervisory proven ability. Healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with budgeting, financial analysis, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, financial compliance, and audit preparation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive financial information.
• Experience in the healthcare, home health, hospice, or medical industry is preferred.
