FirstHealth of the Carolinas seeks an Access Control Officer to oversee all access control, cameras, parking, and related security items across the health system. The role requires planning, implementing, and maintaining security systems in coordination with Public Safety leadership.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a relevant discipline and 5+ years in a comparable public safety role.
• Ability to obtain IAHSS CHSO/CAHSO/CHSS within the established timeframe.
• Experience with access control and camera systems in a healthcare setting.
• Strong planning, coordination, and cross-training capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee access control, camera systems, and parking security operations.
• Develop short- and long-term access control and camera system plans.
• Monitor, test, and maintain patient monitoring systems in sensitive units.
• Lead credential issuance and parking-pass processes for staff and visitors.
• Collaborate with Public Safety leadership and participate in drills and trainings.
