Job summary

New College of Florida seeks a Health & Wellness Intern to assist the Health Promotion and Outreach Coordinator in supporting campus wellness initiatives.

You'll develop, implement, and evaluate health promotion programs while gaining hands-on experience in public health, student affairs, wellness education, outreach, and event planning.

Gain exposure to data collection, program evaluation, and collaboration with students, faculty, and staff to promote a culture of health and prevention on campus.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, promotion, implementation, and assessment of health and wellness programs and events.
• Assist with outreach initiatives that promote the HOPS Wellness Wheel.
• Develop educational materials, presentations, marketing content, and social media campaigns related to health promotion topics.
• Help increase awareness of campus and community resources that support student wellness.
• Participate in tabling events, workshops, awareness campaigns, and campus-wide wellness initiatives.
• Collect and organize program data, attendance records, and participant feedback to assist with program evaluation.
• Conduct research on best practices and emerging trends in college health promotion and prevention.
• Collaborate with student organizations, campus departments, faculty, and staff to support wellness-related initiatives.
• Serve as a positive representative of Health & Wellness Services and promote a culture of health and prevention throughout the campus community.
• Maintain student privacy and confidentiality in accordance with institutional policies and applicable regulations, while understanding and fulfilling responsibilities as a mandated reporter when required by college policy and law.
• Other duties as assigned.
