Job summary

Harlem Children's Zone in New York is seeking a Health Coordinator to lead Healthy Harlem programming across after-school activities. You will oversee staff, coordinate nutrition education, physical activity, and family engagement, and partner with schools and community organizations to enhance wellness for youth.

The role requires a passion for HCZ's mission, strong facilitation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in public health, nutrition, health education, recreation, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience working with youth and families in health, wellness, education, nonprofit, or community settings.
• Experience leading, supervising, or supporting staff and program facilitators.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic data tracking/reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of Healthy Harlem programming including nutrition education and wellness initiatives.
• Supervise, coach, and support staff delivering health programming to ensure quality experiences.
• Develop engaging activities promoting healthy habits and family engagement.
• Collaborate with schools, partners, and families to expand resources and outcomes.
• Monitor participation and outcomes; use data to inform improvements.
