Work Schedule :

Part-time, 60% FTE day/evening shift. Monday - Friday between 7:00am - 11:30pm, with every other weekend rotation required. Hours may vary based on operational needs.

Health unit coordinators play a key role on each unit by providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for patients, families, and visitors.

We are seeking a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to:

  • Manage and facilitate the day-to-day operations of a unit.
  • Answer phones, organize files, order supplies, handle correspondence, manage databases, and provide general support to patients, families, and staff. You are often considered the backbone of the unit, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Utilize excellent communication and organizational skills to support patient care.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to coordinate all aspects of patient care, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records with high attention to detail and perform other clerical duties.

Education :

Minimum - High School Diploma.

Work Experience :

Minimum - One (1) year of experience in a medical or customer service environment or similar experience.

Preferred - One (1) year of experience in a medical environment.
