The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia is seeking a receptionist/clerical assistant to support an academic medical unit. Under supervision, you will perform front-desk and clerical tasks, maintain patient records, and communicate with hospital departments to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities include effective communication, record maintenance, and assisting with professional development while adhering to established protocols. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Job description

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.

Experience: No experience required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires sitting for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull less than 20lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

The pay range for this role is $15.00 - $28.40 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
