UW Medical Center-Montlake in Seattle is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator for the Neonatal ICU on a part-time basis. The role supports patient flow, admissions, transfers, discharges, and communications across staff, providers, and families using Epic and Outlook.

A high school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of healthcare/administrative experience are preferred. Evening shifts on-site with growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Work in a busy, fast-paced unit requiring multitasking and organization.
• Provide communications for staff, providers, patients; answer phones; triage call lights.
• Respond to patient/family inquiries timely, courteously, accurately.
• Maintain a welcoming, organized unit environment for patients, families, staff.
• Assist charge RN to manage patient flow; coordinate admissions, transfers, discharges.
• Prepare discharge packets to support timely, safe discharges.
• Coordinate transportation and paperwork for transfers and diagnostics.
• Handle unit paperwork: chart maintenance, consent forms, documentation.
• Maintain supplies/inventory and restock as needed.
• Use Epic, Teams, Outlook for communication and documentation.
• Collaborate with care team to prioritize patient satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
