Job summary

Montefiore Health System in Elmsford, NY, is seeking a Lead, Digital Engineering to drive strategy and execution across design, build, test, release, and transition-to-support for patient-focused healthcare software. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
7-8 years of experience in digital engineering, software development, application delivery, healthcare technology, or related technical disciplines.
2+ years of leadership experience managing Agile engineering teams.
Experience delivering patient-facing, clinician-facing, Epic, or digital healthcare solutions.
Experience collaborating across architecture, QA, operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and product teams.
Experience working in regulated healthcare environments and supporting compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

Strategy: Execute Digital Engineering strategy aligned to roadmaps, capability models, and Agile operating principles.
Engineering Delivery: Support Agile delivery across design, build, test, deploy, and transition-to-support phases.
Quality Engineering & Release Readiness: Partner with QA to embed quality and drive automation and metrics.
Agile & DevOps Integration: Enable self-organizing teams and monitor delivery metrics and capacity planning.
Leadership & Team Management: Coach and develop staff, promote accountability and patient-centered focus.
