Moffat County School District RE-1 invites applications for a Health Assistant to support the school nurse in meeting the health needs of students at Sunset Elementary. The role involves administering first aid, gathering health data, and coordinating with the nurse to implement care plans.
Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, First Aid certification (or eligible), and a medication administration course within 30 days of hire. A valid driver's license is required.

Assists the school nurse in meeting the health needs of the children.
$17.68 - $27.30/hour, actual placement dependent upon experience.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Eligible or already in possession of American Cross First Aid Certification. Medication administration course within 30 days of hire. Valid driver's license.
Demonstrates commitment to performing in accordance with Moffat County School District Mission and Belief Statements. Represents Moffat County School District in a positive, professional manner. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Completes annual education, training, in-services, license/certifications requirements. Attends monthly staff meetings, or reads minutes. Reports to work on time and as scheduled, completes work in a timely manner. Actively participates in district and building specific performance improvement and quality initiatives.
The employee supervises students in the class, parents and volunteers.
PERA retirement, and other optional benefit elections. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week as defined by their position are also eligible for the district's health insurance.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional programs; ability to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, parents and community; ability to speak clear and concisely in written or oral communication.
