Job summary

Niles Community Schools is seeking a dynamic Health Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time position covers Niles High School, Eastside Connections, and Ring Lardner Middle School, with daily collaboration among administrators, staff, and families.

The ideal candidate will hold Michigan certifications for Sex Education and HIV, demonstrate strong classroom management, and implement engaging health curriculum aligned to state standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for students on the subject matter, utilizing the course of study adopted by the Board of Education, and other appropriate learning methods
• Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations
• Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students' progress
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provide individualized and small group instruction and varied teaching methods to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student
• Other duties as assigned

Niles Community Schools is looking for a dynamic Health Teacher. Highly effective communication skills and professionalism are required for daily interaction with a diverse workforce, student population, building administration, and community.This position covers Niles High School, Eastside Connections, and Ring Lardner Middle School.

Required Qualifications:

• Certified to teach Sex Education and HIV in the State of Michigan.

Essential Duties (non-prioritized):

• Plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for students on the subject matter, utilizing the course of study adopted by the Board of Education, and other appropriate learning methods
