Job summary

US Department of Veterans Affairs Eastern Kansas Health Care System seeks an EHRM Deployment Health System Specialist to lead administrative activities for Cerner deployment, coordinating with the Midwest Consortium and OHT to ensure efficient rollout.

Applicants should have strong background in hospital or public health administration, and specialized experience in health care management, regulations, and government systems or policies.

Qualifications

• Majors: hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields with health care administration coursework.
• Specialized experience in analytical/administrative/clinical management with advisory/directional authority in health care settings.
• Knowledge of health care delivery systems, regulations, credentialing, and government systems (budget, personnel, procurement).
• Inservice placement may substitute for experience if an agency-sponsored on-the-job training included a formal plan and oversight.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an EHRM Deployment Health System Specialist and provide administrative leadership for Cerner deployment.
• Collaborate with Midwest Consortium and the Office of Health Technology to ensure operational efficiency during deployment.
• Apply knowledge of health system administration philosophies and government policies to manage deployment activities.

Education

Undergraduate and Graduate Education: hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration
