Job summary

Los Angeles Education Partnership (LAEP) seeks a Health/Disability & Special Needs Coordinator to oversee services for children birth to three with special needs, collaborating with the health team to implement health policies and family-centered care. You will support IFSP/IEP processes, provide staff training, and connect families with resources.

This role requires a BA in a related field and 3+ years working with children with special needs, including screenings and assessments, within the LA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in child development or related field.
• Three years’ experience with children with special needs and families.
• Experience with developmental screenings and ongoing assessments.
• Knowledge of IDEA Part C (early intervention).
• Experience with LA Regional Center and LAUSD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate screening, referral, assessment for birth to three with or suspected disabilities.
• Oversee IFSP/IEP processes and participate in meetings as required.
• Provide training for EHS staff on health, development and screening.
• Develop outreach and information strategy for families.
• Maintain health records and ensure data quality in ChildPlus.
