Job summary

Planned Parenthood Great Plains seeks a Health Services Site Trainer to develop and deliver comprehensive staff trainings across abortion and vasectomy-related care areas, ensuring compliance and high standards of clinic support. The role oversees task completion, documents progress, and liaises with the Health Services Training Team to maintain quality across multiple sites.

The Health Services Site Trainer plays a vital role in supporting and developing clinic staff to meet the highest standards of care. This position is responsible for conducting comprehensive training sessions across selected clinical support areas, ensuring that team members are proficient in essential job functions and compliance requirements. The Trainer oversees employee task completion, coordinates progress documentation, and maintains effective communication with the Health Services Training Team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates expertise and excellence in multiple specialty areas of clinic support which include abortion care and vasectomy care and performing vasectomy consultation appointments.
  • Learns health center roles in a timely, efficient manner to become competent in providing and training other staff in additional areas.
  • Provides training to staff in abortion, vasectomy and performing vasectomy consultation appointments (and additional training in other roles as needed), including overseeing employees’ task completion, managing employee checklists, and forwarding relevant documentation to Health Services Training Team for review and compliance.
  • Provides constructive feedback regularly to new team members, while collaborating with the training team and health center managers regarding employee progress and development
  • Receives constructive feedback related to content, training process or approach to the job and be able to integrate that into trainer role going forward.
  • Coordinates with the training team to ensure compliance with training policies and procedures
  • Stays up to date with PPGP Manuals and MS&Gs, ensuring that all training content aligns with the latest guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Assists in development and updates of affiliate-wide training materials.
  • Maintains and demonstrates proficiency in EPIC systems, ensuring accurate and proper documentation (when applicable) in compliance with organizational standards and protocols
  • Maintains training materials and equipment as needed to ensure smooth and effective delivery of training sessions.
  • Attends trainings as necessary to stay current with industry standards, enhance personal skills, and ensure the effective delivery of training programs.
  • Performs other duties as required
  • Travel occasionally required and to be coordinated on an individual basis.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • Must have worked in a clinical support role for 6 months
  • 1-2 years electronic health records experience
  • Must have the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with clinical staff and physicians and to act as a role model for the highest level of clinical practice
  • Must be flexible and able to shift priorities as needed
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to multiple office locations in a broad geographic area
  • High School Diploma

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Strong ability to deliver effective trainings, accommodating to different learning styles and levels
  • Demonstrates thoroughness in clinical operations: Front Desk; Education and Laboratory; Family Planning or Abortion Care to include Ultrasound; and Back Office (family planning or surgery technician).

$26 - $26 an hour
