• Consults with medical and professional staff to plan and coordinate joint objectives and acts as liaison between Department of Medical Services and other divisions.
• Provides administrative supervision for a health service program.
• Plans, develops, and may conduct training programs to maintain staff proficiency and use of new equipment and methods.
• Allocates staff based on workload, space, and equipment availability.
• Coordinates research projects and conducts studies to evaluate rehabilitative programs.
• Directs the processing of orders for equipment, prosthetic appliances, and medical supplies.
• Consults with medical, nursing and other staff to clarify ambiguities and secure documentation and timely certification.
• Ensures compliance policies and procedures are current and followed.
• Supervises office administration and record keeping of the department.
• Manages employee supervision, performance and development of assigned personnel.
• Supervises preparation and publication of operational manuals and procedures.
