GEO Corrections & Detentions is seeking an Assistant Health Services Administrator to supervise nursing and clerical staff in a correctional facility. You will ensure comprehensive nursing care, enforce security requirements, and manage scheduling and staff development.

The role requires RN licensure, a health admin or nursing degree, and experience in healthcare management within a correctional or outpatient setting. Strong communication, budgeting, and policy compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or Nursing is required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active RN license.
• Two years of direct RN work experience required.
• CPR/BLS certification current and maintained.
• Experience in healthcare planning, budgeting, and meeting contractual obligations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing and clerical staff; evaluates performance.
• Ensures compliance with pharmacy laws and institutional policies.
• Manages staff scheduling and training; conducts recruitment and evaluations.
• Maintains licensure and ensures staff continuing education.
• Monitors patient care quality and infection control practices.
• Performs audits of medical records and reports findings to management.
• Participates in quality assurance activities and implements corrective actions.
