Job summary

Goldbelt, Inc. is seeking a Health Scientist IV to provide health science support within the Epidemiology Research and Innovations Branch (ERIB).

The role involves conducting analyses, developing code in R and Python for epidemiological analyses, and collaborating with researchers and project managers to advance ERIB’s mission. Ideal candidates will have doctoral or master’s level training in public health/biostatistics with experience in disease modeling, surveillance data, and manuscript

Qualifications

• Experience using quantitative and qualitative methods to interpret data and create visuals.
• Knowledge of surveillance data, data visualization, and data integration.
• Proven ability to work with diverse government and commercial stakeholders on technical contracts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Strong critical thinking and ability to derive innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct analyses and develop code for modeling activities.
• Create and submit R or Python code for QC, data manipulation, and reporting.
• Develop code for statistical/epidemiological analyses and prepare tables/figures.
• Support publication of scientific documents and assist with data sources/acquisitions.
• Develop mathematical disease transmission models and document for public dissemination.
