Job summary

Goldbelt Professional Services seeks a Health Scientist IV to provide health science support within the Epidemiology Research and Innovations Branch (ERIB). You will conduct analyses, develop models, and collaborate with epidemiologists, statisticians, and project managers on ERIB's programmatic mission.

The role involves programming, data management, manuscript co-authorship, and participation in CDC response activities.

Qualifications

• Experience using quantitative and qualitative methods to interpret data and create charts/tables.
• Knowledge of surveillance data, data visualization, and data integration.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse government and commercial stakeholders on technical contracts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Strong critical thinking and ability to derive innovative solutions to complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct analyses to support modeling activities and work with investigators to create code or analyses for mathematical models.
• Develop and submit documented R code or code in Python/SQL for QC, data manipulation, and reporting.
• Create and implement code for statistical and epidemiological analyses, including descriptive and advanced methods.
• Prepare tables and charts for publication and support dissemination of scientific results.
• Assist with acquisitions/renewals of administrative data sources via request packages and approvals.
• Develop mathematical disease transmission models (deterministic/stochastic) to evaluate strategies.
