Job summary

Jackson County Intermediate School District is seeking a part-time Instructional Assistant for Health Science. You will assist the instructor in daily classroom operations, supervise student groups, and may arrange and supervise off-site clinical training as needed.

Responsibilities include materials preparation, clerical tasks, grading, and maintaining equipment. The role requires flexibility to substitute for the instructor and participate in school activities, with a focus on health science

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with 4,000 hours of relevant paid healthcare work in the last ten years.
• Alternatively, at least 60 semester hours from regionally accredited colleges/universities (or equivalent teaching authorization).
• Preference may be given to candidates with a Michigan RN/LPN/MA/CNA license; consideration for an Associate’s with Medical Assistant or CNA license.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructor with daily instruction and materials preparation.
• Supervise student groups and coordinate clinical training at off-site locations as needed.
• Proctor exams and monitor student attendance and activities.
• Maintain records, prepare handouts, and support integrity of equipment and supplies.
• Attend conferences and school activities; ensure regular in-person attendance.

Education

High School diploma / 4,000 hours healthcare work experience

60 semester hours from regionally accredited college
