Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree including 32 credit hours of vocational-technical training related to the occupational area.
• Associates Degree plus two (2) years verified work experience related to the occupational area; OR
• Certificate plus three (3) years verified work experience related to the occupational area; OR
• High School Diploma/GED plus five (5) years verified work experience related to the occupational area.

Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes.
• Develops and maintains a classroom environment conducive to effective learning within the limits provided by the district.
• Prepares for classes assigned and shows written evidence of preparation upon requests of immediate supervisor.
• Evaluates student progress on regular basis.
• Maintains records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
• Upholds and enforces school rules, administrative regulations, and Board policy.
• Attends staff, departmental and grade level meetings.
• Maintains professional relationship with staff and cooperates in planning instructional goals, objectives and methods.
• Assists in the selection of books, equipment and other instructional materials.
• Works to establish and maintain open lines of communication with each student and his/her parents concerning his/her academic and behavioral progress.
