Qualifications

• Must be employed as a teacher (preferred).
• Must complete the New Mexico Activities Association’s online course requirements for coaching.
• Three years specific sport related experience preferred
• Girls Sport – Female candidate preferred
• Demonstrated interest in and aptitude for performing the responsibilities listed.

Responsibilities

• Supervises student-athletes as assigned by the Head Coach.
• Adheres to district policies, regulations, and Athletic Philosophy.
• Promotes participation and maintains a professional demeanor with athletes, staff, and parents.
• Develops a competitive program aligned with academic success and community expectations.
• Enforces the Code of Ethics for all athletes and coordinates with athletic staff.
• Attends professional meetings and clinics and works with the Principal, Athletic Director, and Head Coach to improve the athletic program.
