Job summary

Compliance Management International (CMI) seeks an Associate Health and Safety Specialist to lead and deliver safety training, assess site hazards, and help clients implement core programs. The role requires 5–10 years of safety experience, strong consulting skills, and travel up to 40% regionally.

Bachelor's degree in OH&S preferred; certifications such as CSP/ASP/CHST/CSHO are desirable. The position emphasizes training in classroom and virtual settings, risk mitigation, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in OH&S or related field.
• OSHA 501 – Trainer for General Industry preferred.
• Credentials such as CSP, ASP, CHST, or CSHO highly desirable.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED instructor certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging safety training programs in classroom or virtual formats.
• Assist clients with development, implementation, and maintenance of core safety programs (Emergency Action Plans, Lockout/Tagout, Hazard Communication, PPE, Bloodborne Pathogens).
• Perform hazard assessments and site inspections; generate written reports with corrective actions.
• Coordinate and manage training schedules and consulting engagements.
• Complete internal administrative tasks including time tracking, expense reporting, and documentation.
