Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is seeking a Health & Safety Technician (EHS) - 1st Shift in Omaha, NE. The role supports environmental, health, safety, and security efforts at the site under the EHS Manager's direction.

You will maintain EHS systems, report data, assist with investigations, and drive continuous improvement toward Eaton’s Zero Incident Safety Culture. Expect training delivery and regulatory compliance activities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment or relevant industrial/construction experience.
  • Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position.
  • No relocation offered; candidates within a 50-mile radius of Omaha, NE.
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience in manufacturing.
  • Preferred: 2 years coordinating and leading training, making presentations, and speaking in front of groups.
  • Completed training related to Environmental, Health and Safety.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage at all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct workstation risk assessments to identify EHS hazards and aspects.
  • Assist in tracking leading and lagging indicators to monitor EHS performance.
  • Partner with subject matter champions and engage in ownership of MESH elements.
  • Promote and reinforce zero incident EHS culture site-wide.
  • Complete annual evaluation of compliance for EHS federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Create training matrices and lead training sessions to ensure assigned training is defined, completed, and tracked in an annual plan.
  • Complete training and execute duties to ensure site compliance with regulatory requirements.
