Job summary

Alamance Foods Inc. is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to lead the EHS program across warehouse and transportation operations. You will ensure OSHA, DOT/FMCSA compliance and drive safety initiatives that protect people and equipment.

The role requires developing training, conducting audits, and partnering with leadership to enhance workplace safety across all shifts. Requires 3–5 years in health & safety in manufacturing or logistics, with strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

Knowledge of OSHA, FMCSA and DOT regulations.
Experience developing and maintaining EHS programs.
Strong communication, leadership and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and improve EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT and local regulations.
Conduct risk assessments, job safety analyses, and facility inspections to identify hazards and drive corrective actions.
Lead safety committees, incident investigations and root-cause analyses.
Coordinate and conduct employee safety training (PPE, lockout/tagout, ergonomics).
Support health and wellness initiatives and safety awareness campaigns.
Partner with leadership to promote a proactive safety culture across shifts.
Maintain DOT compliance, driver files, medical cards, and vehicle inspections.
