Title: Manager of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)
About the Role:
This person will serve as the strategic and visible EHS leader, reporting to the VP of Operations and working closely with site‑based EHS Specialists and a Senior Operations Safety Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and continuously improve company‑wide safety programs
- Oversee workers’ compensation claims, root cause investigations, and corrective actions
- Drive behavioral safety initiatives, safety committees, and floor‑level engagement
- Manage OSHA compliance, regulatory audits, and environmental reporting
- Oversee safety alerts, training programs, and process documentation
- Ensure safe ammonia refrigeration and spiral freezer operations
- Partner cross‑functionally with Operations, HR, and Engineering leaders to reinforce a safety‑first culture
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree required; CSP certification strongly preferred
- 5+ years of EHS leadership in food or beverage manufacturing
- Proven experience managing OSHA, EPA, and DOT compliance
- Skilled at behavioral audits, employee engagement, and hands‑on leadership
- Experience supporting driver safety, loading/unloading, and warehouse environments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to execute across complex operations
