Job summary

Kroger in Memphis seeks a Safety Supervisor to lead operations safety initiatives, investigations, and training across a facility with 500+ associates. You will promote health, safety, and food safety compliance while reducing injuries and loss.

You will coordinate with government agencies and drive corrective actions. Candidate will preferably hold an EH&S degree and have hands-on experience with safety programs, audits, and emergency preparedness.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a large facility.
• Direct reports and facility size of 500+ associates.
• Ability to travel independently as required.
• Experience in safety programs and regulatory compliance.
• Solid knowledge of food safety and safety industry laws.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations of accidents and injuries to determine root causes.
• Develop initiatives, policies and training addressing safety concerns.
• Manage safety and loss prevention programs and audits.
• Serve as liaison with OSHA, FDA and DOT.
• Promote safety awareness and conduct periodic manager training.
• Track safety metrics and trends; ensure corrective actions are taken.
