Job summary

Round Mountain Gold Corporation seeks a Health & Safety Superintendent in Round Mountain, NV. As a member of the site leadership team, you will integrate Health & Safety into business planning, operations, workforce development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires 10+ years in mining H&S, 5+ years in leadership, and strong MSHA knowledge to lead investigations, risk management, and regulatory compliance while championing Kinross Safeground principles.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Mining, Environmental Science, Business, or related field.
10+ years of progressive Health & Safety experience in mining or heavy industry.
5+ years of leadership experience supervising Health & Safety personnel.
Experience supporting underground mining operations; surface & underground preferred.
Experience implementing and managing H&S management systems, risk programs, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute Health & Safety strategies aligned with Kinross objectives and Safeground Principles.
Advise site leadership on H&S performance, risk management and regulatory compliance.
Lead integration of H&S into underground development, planning, and organizational change.
Oversee contractor and partner H&S performance per Kinross standards.
Ensure emergency response preparedness, mine rescue capabilities, and crisis management.
Manage budgets, staffing, objectives and performance metrics for the department.
Coach H&S personnel and drive continuous improvement across the site.
Foster relationships with regulators, contractors, and leadership teams.
