We are looking for an HSE Coordinator for a contract position in Houston, TX, to work with one of our major LNG clients.

Responsibilities

• The HSS Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the Health, Safety, and Security function by managing documentation, coordinating safety programs, and assisting with training and communications. This role works cross-functionally with internal teams, contractors, and leadership to promote a safe and compliant workplace environment.
• Develop and maintain HSS documentation, including procedures, systems guides, and tools. Research and compile information for internal reports and ensure materials are kept up to date on the department’s SharePoint site.
• Coordinate logistics and communications for HSS-led events, including team meetings, workshops, Safety Week, safety campaigns, and HSS Summits. Serve as the internal communications liaison for HSS.
• Partner with office staff, leadership, and contractors to promote awareness and compliance with safety protocols and best practices.
• Oversee the maintenance and distribution of the SI High Rise Tenant Fire Safety Manual and ensure employee fire safety certifications remain current. Lead and manage the SI Fire Warden team.
• Assist in designing and delivering HSS training programs for office personnel, contractors, and visitors in Houston and San Diego. Topics include regulatory compliance, internal standards, and office-specific safety orientations.
• Monitor and ensure timely documentation of incidents and near misses using internal systems. Lead or support incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Work closely with Facilities Management to track, report, and resolve workplace hazards in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. A combination of relevant education, training, and experience will be considered.
• 3–5 years of experience in a Health, Safety, and Security-related role is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, DataStream, and MAX or similar platforms.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage time-sensitive tasks accurately.
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience supporting all levels of staff and management with administrative and HSS-related needs.
• Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
• Familiarity with HSS industry standards and implementation of best practices.
