Job summary

Synerfac Technical Staffing seeks a Health & Safety Coordinator for our Pedricktown, NJ facility. The role serves as the site SME for health, safety and security programs, driving a proactive safety culture and OSHA compliance.

You will manage incident prevention, training, audits, and collaborate with operations to improve safety metrics while maintaining documentation and working hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Bilingual Spanish is required.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience in a Health & Safety or related role, in a similar food processing environment.
• Proficient in MS Office 365.
• Must be able to work Monday to Friday from 8am to 4:30pm.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health & Safety compliance by managing OSHA/EHS programs, audits, documentation, certifications, and contractor safety requirements.
• Identify and reduce workplace risks through inspections, hazard assessments, ergonomic evaluations, and corrective action programs.
• Lead incident investigations and emergency preparedness with root cause analyses, emergency response plans, drills, and injury reporting.
• Deliver safety training and communications, maintain records, report safety metrics, and partner with stakeholders.

Health & Safety Coordinator serves as the site subject matter expert and leader for health, safety and security programs at the facility. They are responsible for driving a proactive safety culture, ensuring OSHA compliance, leading incident prevention initiatives, managing site security programs, and influencing operational leaders to achieve safety performance and culture.

Responsibilities
