Job summary

University of Florida seeks a Health Promotion Specialist to develop, implement and evaluate harm reduction health promotion strategies for UF students. The role will focus on preventing risky behaviors and promoting wellbeing through evidence-based programs and targeted outreach.

The position reports to the Director of SL-GATORWELL and includes supervising student staff, contributing to data tracking, and supporting grant reporting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in an appropriate area, or bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.
• Experience in harm reduction health promotion is preferred.
• Higher education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director.
• Provide Wellness Coaching for Academic Success.
• Support student success through programming and outreach.
• Target materials and outreach to specific student populations.
• Advocate for holistic student wellbeing by supporting strategic planning efforts.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and evaluate a comprehensive harm reduction approach and related programs.
