ABOUT THE ROLE
The successful candidate will work under a Licensed Architect as a subject matter expert and lead planner on Healthcare projects.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
  1. Actively seek to further the state of the art within our industry and develop innovative solutions and responses as the needs of researchers evolve.
  2. Effectively collaborate with a project team to provide technical expertise in the programming and planning for projects.
  3. Lead user group meetings to collect and refine program needs and assess space utilization.
  4. Communicate planning concepts to project teams and owners, verbally and through graphic and written reports and work effectively with architectural designers to optimize plans that further owners’ goals and objectives.
  5. Translate planning concepts into comprehensible terms for clients, designers and project team members.
  6. Lead the development, modification and/or review of planning concepts and solutions.
  7. Assist in development of architectural drawings and specifications to translate planning concepts into project documentation for construction.
  8. Assist in developing project scope, plan, and services during the contract process.
  9. Incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
  10. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with existing and potential clients.
  11. Provide guidance and advice to other designers and project leaders.
  12. May participate in marketing proposals.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  1. Bachelor degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree required.
  2. Minimum 8 years of related experience required.
  3. Must have prior experience performing as a subject matter expert on Healthcare projects.
  4. Licensure or registration in the United States preferred.
  5. LEED accreditation preferred.
  6. Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
  8. Must possess business acumen.
  9. Must be a critical thinker.
  10. Must be highly analytical.
  11. Must be a fully qualified professional able to perform work with a high degree of latitude, with some ambiguity in work.
  12. Strong technical knowledge, coordination skills and the ability to build a rapport with the project team and client is essential.
  13. Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office and Bluebeam required.
