Special Olympics New York Inc. seeks an Associate Director of Program, Health Programming to coordinate statewide health initiatives, manage related budgets, and supervise program staff and volunteers.

The role reports to the Senior Director of Program, Health Programming and requires in-person presence at least four days a week. The ideal candidate will bring a Bachelor’s degree in health-related fields, hands-on project planning experience, and a passion for health equity for athletes with

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public or Community Health, Health Sciences, Exercise Sciences, Communications or related field. 6 months to 1 year in health/wellness field.

Responsibilities

  • Support and monitor program operational procedures including annual budget and planning.
  • Familiarity with event planning, management and implementation.
  • Facilitate health structure and monitor health program strategy locally and statewide.
  • Coordinate health programming activities and new health initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to health program standards and grant deliverables with the Senior Director.
  • Lead health-related communications internally and externally with stakeholders.
