Job summary

The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare, Division of Public Health, is seeking a Health Program Specialist to support the Drug Overdose Prevention Program (DOPP). The role focuses on planning, research, and management, including contract and subgrant development, stakeholder engagement, and reporting to meet performance measures and grant deliverables.

The position may require some in-state and out-of-state travel to meetings, training, and site reviews, with the possibility of limited telework

Qualifications

• Some knowledge of public health practices.
• Some knowledge of survey methodology and statistical procedures.
• Experience managing projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan, research and manage the Drug Overdose Prevention Program (DOPP).
• Develop and monitor contracts and subgrants; manage budgets and reporting.
• Engage stakeholders and coordinate grant strategies with partners; travel for meetings and site reviews.
