Join our Infectious Disease Program and contribute to efforts to improve viral hepatitis surveillance and prevention across Alaska. In this position, you’ll collaborate with the Viral Hepatitis Prevention Coordinator and infectious disease database staff to analyze and improve how viral hepatitis data are processed and used. You’ll have opportunities to develop data-processing methods and algorithms, create meaningful data displays, and communicate findings through presentations. This role offers an opportunity to strengthen your skills in epidemiology, data analysis, and public health while making a meaningful impact on disease prevention.
The mission of the Division of Public Health is to protect and promote the health of Alaskans. The Section of Epidemiology keeps Alaskans safe from communicable diseases, injuries, as well as environmental, occupational, and other health hazards.
