Job summary

NACBA is seeking an Accountant to manage daily financial operations and reporting for the HealthChoices program, ensuring full compliance with Department of Human Services standards. You will report to the Executive Director and CFO, handling end-to-end preparation and analysis of all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and regulatory reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 15 credits in accounting; degree in accounting preferred.
• One year of professional accounting experience or five years bookkeeping with 15 accounting credits; managed care experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical, problem solving and budgeting skills.
• Ability to work effectively with the BHSSBC Executive Management Team and Board of Directors, accounting and financial consultants and auditors, Behavioral Health Managed Care Organization, local and state officials and various stakeholder groups.
• Ability to use PCs in a Windows based environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily financial operations and reporting for the HealthChoices program in compliance with DHS standards.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and regulatory reports end-to-end.
• Validate complex program requirements like rate setting and reinvestment calculations.
• Serve as the primary financial liaison for leadership, the Board of Directors, and external partners.
