Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health sciences or related field.
• Experience in academic advising, career advising, student support services, healthcare workforce development, health professions education, or related field.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, healthcare professionals, community partners, and diverse student populations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using technology platforms and databases to support student success and program tracking.

Responsibilities

• Meet individually and in group settings with students and alumni interested in health professions careers.
• Assist students in exploring health-related career pathways and licensed and certified health professions.
• Guide students in assessing interests, strengths, values, and professional goals and connecting them to academic and career pathways.
• Advise students on prerequisite coursework, experiential learning opportunities, and graduate/professional school admission prep.
• Support students in identifying internships, clinical experiences, volunteer opportunities, job shadowing, research, and community engagement activities.
• Assist with developing competitive applications for graduate and professional programs (personal statements, resumes, interview prep).
• Help students develop action plans toward certification, licensure, and advanced education.
• Maintain records of advising activities and outcomes as required by grant funding.
