American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM) is seeking a Health Policy & Regulatory Affairs Manager to advance reimbursement, coding, regulatory, quality, and professional-standards priorities. You’ll translate complex policies into practical guidance for physicians and support regulatory responses.

Reporting to the Health Policy, Standards, and Legal Affairs Director, you’ll manage projects at the intersection of health policy and physician reimbursement,

Qualifications

• Three to five years of health policy, reimbursement, or regulatory affairs experience.
• Knowledge of physician coding/billing, reimbursement policy, or Medicare payment policy.
• Strong research, writing, editing, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer developments affecting physician payment, coding, billing, coverage, prior authorization, and quality reporting.
• Analyze changes, summarize implications for members, and prepare recommendations.
• Develop practical coding and reimbursement resources (e.g., coding guide, FAQs, articles, alerts).
• Draft policy analyses and regulatory comment letters; track deadlines and coordinate reviews and submissions.
• Support development and maintenance of evidence-based guidelines, consensus statements, and practice resources.
• Serve as staff resource for CPT and RUC activities; prepare research, code applications, and briefing documents.
