Job summary

Hemophilia of Georgia invites a Graduate Health Policy Intern to join our Advocacy team in Sandy Springs, GA. This part-time, non-exempt hybrid internship offers hands-on experience tracking federal and state legislation, analyzing public health data, and supporting policy communications.

Responsibilities include monitoring hearings, preparing summaries, drafting briefs, and assisting in advocacy events while gaining experience in nonprofit health policy work.

Qualifications

  • Strong data and analytics skills, with high-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
  • Ability to research, analyze, and synthesize health policy and legislative data.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Track and monitor health policy developments at both the federal and state levels, including legislation, hearings, and executive orders.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on public health data relevant to HoG’s mission and policy priorities.
  • Attend and monitor congressional and state legislative meetings/hearings and provide summaries for staff.
  • Assist with drafting communications related to health policy updates for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attend advocacy events as needed and assist in planning and implementation of advocacy events.
