Job summary

The Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA) invites a Health Policy Analyst to contribute to data‑driven pricing policy within the Provider Finance Pricing team. You will analyze costs, utilization, and data sources to inform rate development for MassHealth and related programs.

You will coordinate with CHIA, MassHealth, and other agencies, develop rate models, draft memos, and present findings to senior leadership, stakeholders, and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public policy, public health, health care policy and management, business administration, finance, accounting or a similar quantitative field. A graduate degree preferred.
• Strong data management skills with the ability to manipulate, organize, and analyze datasets. Proficiency in Excel and statistical software such as R.
• Three+ years of professional experience in related fields and working knowledge of the Massachusetts health care system.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage stakeholders and present complex findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses of health care costs, service utilization, and other data to support pricing policy development.
• Design and update data collection tools, validate data submissions, and participate in cross-unit workgroups.
• Lead meetings, draft memos, and deliver results to senior leadership and other state agencies; liaise with MassHealth and related agencies.
