Job summary

Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA) in Boston seeks a Health Policy Analyst to contribute to data-driven pricing policy within the Provider Finance Pricing team. You will analyze costs, utilization, and data sources to influence payment rates for MassHealth.

This role emphasizes collaboration with MassHealth and state agencies, data management, model development, and clear communication of findings to executives. Hybrid work with Boston in‑person days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public policy, public health, health care policy and management, finance, accounting or a similar quantitative field.
• Strong data management skills; proficient with Excel and R for data analysis.
• At least three years of professional experience in health care policy, administration, economics, or related field; knowledge of MA health care system preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to engage stakeholders and present findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Analyze health care costs, utilization, and other data to support pricing policy development for MassHealth.
• Design and update data collection tools, validate data submissions, and implement QA protocols.
• Lead meetings, develop rate models, and communicate results to senior leadership and state agencies.
