The Maryland Prescription Drug Affordability Board (PDAB) is accepting applications for a Health Policy Analyst Advanced.
Join a team leading the nation in prescription drug policy innovation. The PDAB is the first agency of its kind in the country—an independent, forward-thinking unit of state government dedicated to making prescription drugs more affordable and accessible for all Marylanders.
We’re tackling one of the most urgent challenges in health care: the high cost of prescription medications. The PDAB works across state agencies and with local governments to uncover what’s driving drug costs and to design bold, evidence-based solutions—like upper payment limits—to improve access and equity.
We’re looking for mission-driven, analytical, and creative problem-solvers who want to help shape the future of prescription drug affordability policy. If you’re passionate about public service and want to work on high-impact, first-in-the-nation policies, we want to hear from you.
The Health Policy Analyst Advanced is responsible for analyzing data relevant to the operations and mission of the PDAB to inform policy decisions and support key functions like Cost Reviews. The role includes developing public-facing data reports to enhance understanding of prescription drug affordability.
This position involves assessing data from sources such as health claims databases, proprietary drug pricing data, and partner submissions. The analyst reports to the Executive Director and contributes to reports, policy assessments, and data-driven functions.
