Health Plan Account Manager - REMOTE

Job Description

The Account Manager supports the assigned Employer Account Executive and Employer Groups in communications, client-facing initiatives, and product and program recommendations. This role involves establishing and maintaining relationships with designated client counterparts.

Responsibilities
  • Work directly with Employer Groups and Health Plan Leadership to resolve issues and ensure member satisfaction; coordinate with operational units to implement processes preventing repeat issues.
  • Collaborate with account executive and leadership to build business cases for initiatives; support implementations, performance standards, and cost justifications.
  • Partner with Employer Account Executives and leadership to evaluate reporting requests, access relevant information, and present data effectively to influence decision-making.
  • Facilitate meetings with Employer Groups to build relationships and promote product opportunities; follow up with stakeholders.
  • Support client audits, develop presentations, and facilitate visits and health fairs.
  • Work with small employer accounts to optimize pharmacy spend using Prime products and services.
  • Support retention through proactive issue resolution, understanding client challenges, and helping identify mutual value opportunities.
  • Document interactions in Salesforce CRM, including meeting notes, risks, decisions, and next steps, ensuring accurate data entry.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience; HS diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years of Client Service/Account Management experience.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Additional Qualifications
  • Ability to develop effective sales messages, presentations, and proposals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate meetings, resolve conflicts, and influence across departments and levels.
  • Ability to balance compliance, business goals, and risks, and drive initiatives to completion.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Effective team collaboration in a matrixed environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare or PBM industry experience.
  • Prior pharmacy technician experience and/or CPhT certification.
Physical Demands
  • Travel up to 30%.
  • Work outside standard hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Constant sitting, talking, hearing, and using hands.
  • Frequent reaching, occasional standing, walking, and stooping.
  • Lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

All employees must understand and comply with security responsibilities and legal, regulatory, and internal policies.

Potential pay ranges from $59,000 to $94,000 based on experience and skills.
