Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) seeks a Health Physicist for the Kesselring Site Radiation Health and Dosimetry unit. This role leads health physics initiatives, develops new dosimetry programs, and qualifies as a Processor on the Dosimetry System, with NVLAP signatory potential.

The candidate will monitor internal dosimetry operations, calibrations, and ensure QA across programs, while collaborating with the NNPP Health Physics community and attending TM/QM conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical, engineering or science field with 2+ years of relevant experience; or Master's with 1+ year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and uphold local procedures for Radiation Health and Dosimetry operations.
• Lead and deliver health physics training and casualty training for Health Physicists.
• Support internal audits and external audits of KS Radiation Health and Dosimetry and track corrective actions.
• Participate in KS Emergency Response Organization.
