Job Description
Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full-Time Health Physicist for the Radiation Physics & Safety Department. Primary coverage will be at Morristown Medical Center, with cross-coverage at other AHS facilities expected. This position will report to the Manager/Chief Physicist.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in a physical, biological or other related science, or
Master's degree in Physics, Health Physics, other physical science, or engineering (preferred)
Minimum Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience in health physics in a clinical setting involving radioactive materials & radiation sources.
Licenses/Certifications:
ABHP certification as a Certified Health Physicist, or ABMP certification in Medical Health Physics.
Meets the qualifications of an Associate RSO as per US NRC Title 10 CFR Part 35.50 .
Qualifications:
Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
Excellent communication skills are essential.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications.
