Job summary

Texas A&M Foundation in College Station seeks a Development Officer to support Texas A&M Health. The role can be filled at Associate Development Officer, Assistant Director of Development, or Director of Development, depending on experience and outcomes.

You will build donor relationships, advance philanthropic support, and align donor passions with opportunities within the TAMH enterprise across Texas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in fundraising, development, or related, with level determined by experience and outcomes.
  • Associate Development Officer: 0–2 years; Assistant Director of Development: 2–3 years; Director of Development: 3+ years with fundraising track record.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships with a wide range of constituents.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic fundraising plans aligned with the Foundation’s priorities and Texas A&M Health’s mission and objectives.
  • Cultivate, solicit, and close major and principal gifts in support of Texas A&M Health priorities, programs, research initiatives, scholarships, and opportunities.
  • Partner with Texas A&M Health leadership, faculty, university partners, and Foundation colleagues to identify philanthropic opportunities and translate needs into cases for support.
  • Lead stewardship efforts to ensure donors feel valued, informed, and connected to the impact of their philanthropy on health outcomes, education, and innovation.
  • Build and manage a portfolio of donors and prospects, maintaining strong relationships through personalized outreach.
  • Collaborate across development teams to ensure alignment, data integrity, and coordinated donor strategies.
