Job summary

Accenture is seeking a healthcare consulting leader in Illinois to drive payer utilization management engagements, guiding teams and delivering high-impact client outcomes.

You will lead planning, manage delivery, and optimize solutions with data-driven insights, automation, and regulatory awareness. Expect significant client interaction, mentorship, and travel as needed to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in Payer Utilization Management, including in an operational leadership role.
• Minimum of 3 years of Health Industry management consulting experience.
• Bonus points for ability to plan, organize and deliver results across multiple projects.
• Understanding of utilization management operating models, technology enablers, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience applying data-driven insights and automation to transform payer clinical operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and successful delivery of client engagements, managing Accenture work streams and client teams.
• Ensure solutions are implemented within time and budget and meet client satisfaction.
• Build and maintain trust-based client relationships through a client-centered approach.
• Provide example-driven leadership, mentoring, feedback, and followership to project teams.
• Develop project plans and solutions tailored to client needs.
• Support development of Accenture assets and tools focused on utilization management.
• Travel – up to 80% as needed by client requirements.
