MDH Local Health - Frederick County seeks a Health Officer to serve as the chief executive and strategic leader of the county health department. The role directs operations and programs across eight divisions to prevent disease, promote wellness, and protect public health.

The Health Officer supervises division directors, manages federal and state grants, oversees emergency preparedness, and administers school health and maternal-child health services.

Qualifications

• MD from an accredited college or university.
• Master's degree in Public Health.
• At least two years of experience as a licensed physician in public health at local, state, and/or federal health agency.
• Current licensure by the Maryland Board of Physicians.
