Job summary

The NIC Workforce Training Center is seeking a Health Occupations Manager to lead and expand high-quality non-credit healthcare training while strengthening partnerships addressing regional workforce needs.

You will support students preparing for in-demand healthcare careers, oversee clinical placements, and collaborate with providers, colleges, and partners to drive program performance and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years full-time equivalent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including supervisory experience.
• Experience in managing, evaluating, and driving program performance, including implementing changes to improve program performance.
• Valid driver’s license required. LERN Certified Program Planner certification preferred; must be obtained within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple healthcare training programs, including instructor and staff supervision, course planning, budgeting, scheduling, and program performance.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, community partners, and college departments to coordinate clinical placements, maintain affiliation agreements, and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Identify workforce trends, cultivate industry partnerships, develop new healthcare training opportunities, manage grant and program budgets, promote courses to prospective students, and support pathways that connect non-credit students to credit-bearing healthcare programs.
• As needed, provide instruction in healthcare courses and assist with state skills examinations.
