Position Overview

This is an entry-level, onsite position responsible for processing all release of information (ROI), specifically medical record requests. The role requires ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with privacy regulations to provide high-quality service while safeguarding patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.

Position Highlights
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST, located in Evansville, IN

Responsibilities
  • Process patient health information requests following company and facility policies
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information
  • Use company and facility software proficiently
  • Adhere to the company's code of conduct and policies
  • Report work issues and fluctuating volumes to management
  • Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare and assemble new patient charts and digital images
  • Respond to internal and external requests for patient records
  • Handle inbound/outbound calls and assist with walk-ins if needed
  • Perform administrative duties such as faxing, mailing, and data entry
  • Meet productivity expectations and assist with scheduling pickups
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to commute and work overtime during peak periods
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with office equipment
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in medical records management
  • Efficient data entry skills and ability to multitask
Preferred Skills
  • Healthcare environment experience
  • Experience with metrics and production goals
  • Customer service experience, especially in person
  • Ability to build relationships and contribute ideas for process improvements
