Position Highlights
- Monday-Friday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm, 1 Hour lunch
- Location: Champaign, IL

You will:
- Receive and process requests for patient health information in accordance with Company and Facility policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and security with all privileged information.
- Maintain working knowledge of Company and facility software.
- Adhere to the Company's and Customer facilities Code of Conduct and policies.
- Inform manager of work, site difficulties, and/or fluctuating volumes.
- Assist with additional work duties or responsibilities as evident or required.
- Enhance attention to detail for medical records.
- Consistently apply medical privacy regulations to guard against unauthorized disclosure.
- Manage patient health records and ensure compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Prepare new patient charts, gather documents from paper and electronic sources, and ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Create digital images of paperwork for electronic storage.
- Respond to requests for patient records, retrieving and transmitting them appropriately.
- Answer inbound/outbound calls and assist with patient walk-ins if needed.
- Assist with administrative duties such as handling faxes, opening mail, data entry, and scheduling pickups.
- Assist with training associates in the HIS positions and participate in project teams and committees.
- Mentor HIS staff for professional development and participate in onboarding activities.
- Assist with Quality Assurance tasks as directed.
- Lead staff regarding general questions and training, and lead training sessions for staff development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you will bring to the table:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to commute between locations as needed.
- Willingness to work overtime during peak seasons.
- 1-year Health Information related experience.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with office equipment.
- Professional communication skills in English.
- Attention to detail and quality in medical records.
- Strong data entry skills and ability to respond to changing priorities.
- Organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Presentation skills for small groups and problem-solving abilities.
Bonus points if:
- 2+ years of Health Information experience.
- Meet or exceed company's productivity standards.
- Previous production/metric-based work experience.
- In-person customer service experience.
- Ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Comfortable with process improvements and providing feedback.
