Sierra Vista Hospital is seeking a Health Information Management Specialist to perform clerical duties in the HIM Department, including records assembly, transcription processing, filing and chart tracking.

The role focuses on processing and monitoring the release of health information and ensuring compliance with all federal and state requirements and accreditation standards for PHI release. A health information background and relevant licenses are preferred.

Formación

• Graduation from a Health Information Technology program preferred; high school graduate or equivalent required.
• At least two years experience in a health information management department in a hospital setting.
• Preferred licensed RHIT, CPC or CCS with coding experience
• Licensed as Registered Health Information Technician preferred.
• May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.

Responsabilidades

• Clerical duties within the HIM Department related to records, record assembly and analysis, transcription processing, filing and chart tracking.
• Processing and monitoring release of health information while ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements and accreditation recommendations regarding PHI release.
